In Osaka, Umeda (梅田) is a major commercial and business district in Kita-ku, with its main railway terminus of Osaka Station and Umeda Station, makes it the busiest transportation hub. Umeda is known as the Kita district as well, which is one of Osaka's main city centers that offers plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment

Talking about my recent stay in Osaka Guesthouse Sakura, it was my first time in Umeda and I never know that this area has so much to offer to tourists such as Kitashinchi District, Hankyu Entertainment Park, Tennoji Zoo, Shitennō-ji Temple, Umeda Sky Building and many more.

Osaka Guesthouse Sakura is conveniently located 10 minutes walk from JR Osaka Station, and Subway Umeda Station or Minamimorimachi Station. I don't particularly say that it is very close or nearby to the station, but the distance is walk-able, even if you're with bags, the roads are nice and easy to drag bag.

During my stay, I have been using access from Subway Minamimorimachi Station, as well as JR Osaka Station for my visit to Universal Studio Japan. Most importantly, just a corner ahead from the guest house, there are big Family Mart at the corner and Lawson in the opposite!

All of the Osaka Guesthouse Sakura staff were very friendly and helpful, and they give many tourist information and free locker service available.

Osaka Guesthouse Sakura has a few types of rooms, from mixed dormitory (18 beds), female dormitory (16 beds), female dormitory (4 beds), Japanese Style Room and Japanese Style Room Deluxe.

Mixed dormitory (18 beds) - 2800 yen / person
Female dormitory (16 beds) - 3000 yen / person
Female dormitory (4 beds) - 3300 yen / person
Japanese Style Room - 9000 yen / room per night
Japanese Style Room Deluxe - 9500 yen / room per night

I was staying at the female dormitory (16 beds), even though with a limited space to move around, but the bed space is quite big that you could store your backpack or handbag just beside your bed.

They have a bar selling alcohol, and the common area and kitchen is free for use. I like the common area the most :) Definitely a good place for a drink at night!

Bathroom is on share basis located at basement with a total of 4 bathrooms, but each floor will have 3 toilets, laundry service is available with some charges.

Overall I had a pleasant stay in Osaka Guesthouse Sakura, the only bad is there's no elevator :(
