LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN ...

My First Tandem Skydiving Experience in Oahu, Hawaii.

1:59:00 AM

Four years back when skydive wasn't that popular yet, I regretted so much for not give it a try in New Zealand, the time when skydive wasn't that expensive still. Four years later now, I finally made a move to give it a try in Hawaii and that makes the most of my whole Hawaii trip!

What can I say about skydiving? It is an activity to fight against yourself for a new challenge in life, the fear of doing it and the achievement of after doing it is totally amazing.

You may had many jumps in your life, but this is a jump that will be remembered throughout your whole life. Because we only live once, so make the most out of it :)

Most of the company offer 2 types of tandem skydive, one is regular and one is ultimate. What's the difference? It's the exit altitude different from 8,000ft - 14,000ft.

My first tandem skydiving, and I go for the Ultimate Tandem because I wanted to have a longer free fall time that triple up from Regular Tandem. The free fall time for 8,000 - 10,000ft is about 20 seconds while the free fall time for 14,000ft is 60 seconds, and trust me you'll want more free fall time once your out from the plane.

The whole skydiving journey took less than 10 minutes, from take off to jump off to free fall and after landing. While the whole process may take longer up to 2 - 3 hours, from registering yourself at the shop, understand and signing all the terms and condition on the contract, learning more information about skydiving from a short film, and meet your tandem to get ready.

I was surprise by myself that I wasn't afraid or nervous at all even I was just sitting by the door side, as the plane fly higher all I get was excitement!

The feeling of jumping out of the plane is amazing, the next second you'll find yourself floating in the clouds. If you ever ride on a roller coaster, I know that heart skip a beat when it slides down feeling is scary, but you wouldn't even feel a little of it during skydiving.

If you’ve been holding back from going skydiving because you’re afraid of some freak accident occurring, there’s some good news.

It turns out jumping from a plane with a parachute strapped to your back isn’t so dangerous after all. In fact, there’s a better chance you will die from a variety of other activities than from skydiving – and some of them don’t exactly involve the same level of thrill. Among those things: canoeing, driving a car and boxing.

Living is dangerous. We're all dying, but most of us strive to stay alive for as long as possible. Still, many of us want to explore and experience as much as we can in this time.

So, if skydiving has been in your bucket list for some times, it's the time for you to take it seriously now while you're still young and capable, don't make yourself regret in future because money ain't gonna buy you health or youth :)
